I’m excited to share the release of DaVinci Resolve 19.0.1, packed with key updates to enhance your editing workflow. One standout improvement is the enhanced timeline responsiveness—if you’re managing a large number of clips, you’ll notice quicker updates as you select and move clips within the Edit, Cut, or Fairlight timelines. This improvement boosts efficiency, allowing for a smoother and more fluid editing experience.

In addition, the update includes better playback performance in fixed playhead workspaces, providing you with more consistent, smoother playback, especially when handling demanding projects.
For those using the media management tool, this version now ensures that files containing embedded AAF content are accurately transcoded, so your audio plays back perfectly. Also, when duplicating timelines or applying grades across clips, mattes will now stay enabled and properly linked—helping you maintain control over your visual elements.
For DaVinci Resolve Studio users, they’ve addressed a license activation issue specific to macOS 15 Sequoia systems. Additionally, Dolby audio workflows will now run more seamlessly, thanks to improvements in bus assignment and ensuring the renderer comes online without hiccups.
